Beautiful Hair for a Beautiful Woman

OK,  I am so excited about this one.  I could hardly wait to get this photo shoot on my blog.  Not only was this shoot enormously fun because of  her sheer beauty, but I have done her hair for quite a while now.  But MOST IMPORTANTLY she  is a great friend of mine.  I have always thought that she was just gorgeous, but during the photo shoot, OMG.  I am so proud of her for doing this and allowing me to show all of you.  So if you can see to the hair, well… I did that part.

 

She wanted a more natural, everyday look.  I am so glad she suggested this pony tail.  It is so cute (just goes to show pony’s can be pretty).  I think this added a sassy, fun element to the shoot.

I added a little volume on the top, and straightened all around for the “down” look. 

 

To change things up a bit I added a lot of volume on the top for this 1/2 up 1/2 down style.

Thankful?

I hope that everyone had a chance to spend time with their friends and family.  More than turkey and pie, today was a day to truly be thankful.  For what?  Well, for me it is for my husband and children.  I am thankful for great friends that have my best interest at heart.  The smaller things in life like my daughter stuffing 4 olives in her mouth and spitting out three.  The acknowledgement that one day I will look back and laugh when remembering that my son knew everything at the ripe old age of ten. 

I hope that all of you can have those thoughts more than once a year.

 

Hot Hair for the Photo Shoot!!!

This weekend I was asked to style hair for my friend Heather Leggett

(wonderful photographer).  It was a lot of fun.

I hope you are all getting out your green and Yell-O (if it isn’t out already).  December 29, 2008 is Civil War @ Corvallis.  I cant wait!!!  So, feel free to comment on what you think the score will be.

Look at those Bangs

Here, the bangs are the focal point rather than the

rest of the cut.  This seems to be very popular right now,

at least with some of the new and edgeier cuts. 

 Bangs seem to be getting heavier and fuller and very

textured.  For this particular cut you do not have to have

 a ”more than average” amount of hair.  Normal to

even a little thin could pull this one off. 

Amazing Hair

OK, we have to look past the fact that she has amazing

 hair to start with.  If you are interested in this look,

you will have to have quite a bit of hair and it should be

of medium coarseness ideally.  If you just don’t h

ave a lot of hair or it is fine and really soft, unfortunately

 this one isn’t going to be the best fit.  This cut,

like “Layers = Luscious” is full of layers (cut a little bit

differently) and texture.  This cut has a heavy and

long side bang, again, only obtainable with

 a good amount of hair to start with.
